Ann and John's Tour de France
If you've been to Paris and visited The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and Versailles, that's great. Or, should we say, a great start. In addition to countless other attractions in and around the City of Light, the country of France is a treasure trove of art, food, history, and scenery. From the Alps in the east to the French Riviera in the south to the historic Normandy beaches north, and several wine-making areas all over, there's a reason France is the most-visited country in the world.
We've been fortunate to visit France numerous times. But our trip around the country in May of 2022 was our most far-reaching. We started with a few days in Paris (re)-visiting The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, and the opulent palace and gardens of Versailles. We even fit in a French cooking class. Then is was time to pick up the rental car and set about driving virtually the entire circumference of the country. Lyon, Chamonix, Avignon, Bordeaux, Tours, and even a side trip to the tiny country of Andorra tucked in the Pyrenees Mountains between France and Spain.
We put together this video feature for the program Great Day TV in Indianapolis.
